IG Punjab ordered DPO Pakpattan to conduct an inquiry into the incident under his supervision. He said that close contact should be kept with the family of Shaheed Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram and all possible facilities and comfort should be provided to them. The number of martyrs of Pakpattan Police has increased to 16 with the eternal sacrifice of Sub Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram Shaheed. Sub Inspector Muhammad Sarwar Akram graduated from Bahauddin Zakaria University Multan in 2011 and joined the Punjab Police as a Sub Inspector in 2015.
