KASUR: A man shot dead three brothers allegedly over a trifle at Garaywala village on Thursday. The IGP has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the district police officer.
Police said Muhammad Jamil wanted to raise the level of drain outside his house but Muhammad Javed, a former serviceman, raised an objection. This led to an exchange of arguments and, later, to scuffle. Saleem and Mahmood, brothers of Jamil, also joined the war of words.
Javed went inside his house and returned with a gun and opened firing, leaving Jamil, Saleem and Mahmood injured. Jamil died on the spot while his two brothers succumbed to their injures on their way to hospital. DPO Sohaib Ashraf sent the forensic team to collect evidence and formed teams for the arrest of the suspect.
