More than 42,000 officials and officers will perform security duties of 301 processions and 530 Majalis across province.
More than 10,000 personnel, officers and volunteers will be on duty for security of processions and Majalis in Lahore.

Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar has said that the best arrangements should be made with the effective use of available resources and modern technology for the security arrangements of Chehlam Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S) mourning processions and Majalis in all districts of the province, while senior officers themselves go into the field for inspection of security arrangements of sensitive processions and Majalis. IG Punjab directed that snipers must be posted on the roofs of the buildings coming along the routes of central and sensitive Majalis and processions, while lady constables will perform security and checking duties in women's Majalis and processions. IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar said that the security SOPs issued by the Central Police Office should be ensured in all cases. He stressed upon keeping close coordination with Ulema Ikram, Peace Committees and other stakeholders for the security arrangements of mourning processions and Majlis. IG Punjab directed that additional force of wardens and personnel should be posted on procession routes to maintain smooth flow of traffic through alternative routes. IG Punjab directed that on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Usman Ali Hajwiri known as Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore, fool-proof security arrangements should be ensured and the security staff should behave politely with the mourners, devotees and pilgrims. IG Punjab directed that with the help of Safe City cameras, the main procession and Urs celebrations of Chehlum should be monitored moment by moment and additional personnel should be kept on standby to deal with any emergency situation. These instructions were issued by IG Punjab regarding the security arrangements of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) on Chehlam.
The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), a total of 301 processions and 530 Majalis are being organized across the province, for the security of which more than 42,000 officials and personnel will perform security duties. The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that 03 large processions and 40 Majalis of Chehlam Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) are being held in the provincial capital Lahore, for the security of which more than 10 thousand officials, volunteers and officers will perform their duties. The Spokesperson of the Punjab Police further said that four layered security will be provided to sensitive and A category processions and Majalis across the province, while the security arrangements of Urs Hazrat Ali bin Usman Al-Hajwairi, Chehlum processions and Majalis will be directly monitored from the Central Police Office control room.
