IG Punjab reviewed the ongoing police rescue and relief activities for the flood victims and also distributed ration bags among the victims.
More than 6,000 Punjab police personnel are working to assist the flood victims across the province. IG Punjab
400 police vehicles, 288 bikes, 74 motor boats and other resources are participating in the rescue work. IG Punjab
388 relief camps were set up by Punjab Police, 20 thousand 6 civilians and more than 6 thousand cattle were shifted to safe places.
In other affected districts including DG Khan, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Layyah, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh, police are mobilized to help the flood victims. IG Punjab commended   police officers and officials who performed well in the rescue work during the floods.

Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar has said that Pakistan is currently facing the worst flood in history, helping and rehabilitating the victims is a national and moral responsibility of all of us. IG Punjab said that the Punjab Police is ensuring the use of all resources for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims in difficult times and is working side by side with other district and government institutions to help, protect and provide facilities to the flood affected citizens. IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar said that more than 6,000 Punjab police personnel are working day and night to assist flood victims across the province and DG Khan, Rajanpur, Mianwali, Layyah Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh and other affected districts. Police are mobilized to help the flood victims. IG Punjab said that 400 police cars, 288 bikes, 74 motorboats and other resources are participating in the rescue work. 388 relief camps have been set up by the Punjab Police in the affected areas while 743 villages in the affected areas have been evacuated.  IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar said that 20,600 flood victims and more than 6,000 cattle have been moved to safe places and rescue and relief work will continue in the affected areas. IG Punjab said that the police teams deployed at the river check posts are on alert and all the police motorboats are engaged in assisting the victims and providing relief work. IG Punjab while congratulating the police officers and personnel who performed well in the rescue work during the flood, said that they should devote themselves to the spirit of service and leave no stone unturned in serving and helping the victims. He expressed these views while addressing officers and officials on the occasion of a visit to the flood affected areas in Dera Ghazi Khan today.
According to the details, IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar visited the flood affected areas at different places of Dera Ghazi Khan and reviewed the ongoing police rescue and relief activities to help the flood victims. RPO DG Khan briefed IG Punjab about relief operations and the devastation caused by floods in the low-lying areas and the latest situation. IG Punjab met flood victims, also distributed ration bags on behalf of Punjab Police. IG Punjab distributed certificates of appreciation to the police officers and officials who served the public with excellent field work during the floods at the RPO office. He directed the officers to be active in providing services and facilities to the victims in the flood affected areas with more enthusiasm than before. Additional IG South Punjab, RPO DG Khan and DPO DG Khan and other officers were also present on this occasion.
