Additional IG Welfare and Finance has released a relief amount of 78 lakh 72 thousand 443 rupees for 27 employees and their families.
Money has been paid to the officials for treatment of kidney transplant, heart disease, cancer and other diseases.

Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar has said that the best welfare of the officers and personnel who perform the duties of protecting life and property of public is among my top priorities and department will not leave any officer or officials alone who fell ill during duty. IG Punjab directed all the RPOs, CPOs and DPOs of province to take care of welfare of subordinate officers and officials and ensure timely measures for the treatment of those who fall ill in the line of duty. IG Punjab said that the police force performs its duty in a harsh environment and all possible measures should be taken for their proper welfare. IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar said that it is responsibility of supervisory officers to provide the best professional environment to the personnel during duty, so RPOs, DPOs should take steps to increase the efficiency and welfare of the force under personal supervision.
Additional IG Welfare and Finance Mohammad Farooq Mazhar said that on the direction of IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar, financial assistance is being provided to the officials and their families suffering from various disorders and in this regard, those serving in different districts of the province have been given financial assistance. An aid amount of 78 lakh 72 thousand 443 rupees has been released for 27 employees and their families. Additional IG Welfare said that this amount has been given to the officials serving in all the districts of the province in the form of medical expenses, which they and their families should use for treatment of kidney transplant, heart disease, cancer and other diseases. The Welfare Branch forwarded the financial assistance cheques to the concerned districts from where these funds would be available to the affected officials. Additional IG Welfare and Finance Muhammad Farooq Mazhar added that as per the instructions of IG Punjab, all possible measures will be continued in the future to help the martyrs, Ghazis and serving employees of Punjab Police.
