On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar, Punjab Police has prepared a special action plan for the intervening night of August 13 and 14, according to which, during the celebration of Independence Day, those guilty of breaking the law will not get any exemption. Spokesman Punjab Police said that on the occasion of Independence Day, a strong crackdown will be taken against those who pull out silencers, do one-wheeling and unnecessarily block the roads and harass the citizens will be behind bars. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that strict action will be taken against those who engage in rioting and misbehaving with families on roads, parks and public places. Special teams are being deployed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and other major cities for tonight while traffic police, dolphins and additional police personnel will be deployed on busy highways. Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the persons involved in air firing, display of weapons and fireworks will be in the grip of the law and action will be taken against them without discrimination. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that citizens should report any suspicious activity and violation of law on 15 so that strict legal action can be taken against the violators.
