Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar and Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal paid a surprise visit to Imambargah Khaima Sadaat and reviewed the security arrangements. Chief Secretary and IG Punjab reviewed the security and logistical arrangements of processions and Majlis and met the organizers of Majlis and peace committee members. Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal issued instructions to the district administration to ensure the best arrangements for the procession routes and the mourners in the Majlis. 24-hour staff will be deployed in the areas while special attention is being paid to the security of the processions as well as the Majalis. IG Punjab stressed upon CTO Lahore that during the security arrangements, the flow of traffic should be ensured on alternative routes for the convenience of citizens and the officials and officers on duty should perform their duties diligently. Faisal Shahkar said that on the pattern of Lahore, fool-proof arrangements have been made for the security of processions and Majalis in all the districts. The processions are going on peacefully in all the districts. IG Punjab said that the atmosphere of tolerance and mutual harmony has been established throughout the province only with the cooperation of the Ulama and members of the Peace Committee.
