Rape case of a special girl in premises of Lahore Sherakot police station / accused arrested
Lahore Police arrested both accused Sajjad and Tanveer alias Tanna from Saggian at night.
Chief Minister Punjab and IG Punjab had taken notice of the incident.
IG Punjab directed DIG Investigation to conduct investigation of the case under his supervision.

The police have arrested the callous suspects involved in the rape of a special girl in the limits of Sherakot police station in Lahore. According to the details, the police arrested the two accused Sajjad and Tanveer alias Tanna from Saggian late at night. Both the accused are close relatives. Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar had taken notice of the incident while IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar had given the task of immediate arrest of the accused to the Lahore Police, on which the police arrested both the accused. .
IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar has instructed the DIG Investigation Lahore to conduct the investigation of the case under his supervision and said that justice should be ensured to the victim girl on priority basis. He said that the accused involved in such incidents do not deserve any sympathy. IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar directed that immediate actions should be continued under zero tolerance on incidents of rape and violence against women and children.
