The annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar is going to be held in Pakpattan / Full security arrangements have been made under the direction of IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar.
More than 1300 officers and personnel of Pakpattan police, including women personnel, are performing round-the-clock security duties.
Monitoring is going on with 150 CCTV cameras on all roads leading to Darbar Hazrat Baba Farid.
A control room has been set up at Darbar Baba Farid to monitor the security arrangements and the situation is being monitored moment by moment.

The annual Urs celebrations of the spiritual saint Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar are going on in Pakpattan and in this regard, on the instructions of IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar, full arrangements have been made by utilizing all available resources for the security and assistance of the pilgrims. . The spokesperson of Punjab Police said that more than 1300 officers and personnel of Pakpattan Police are performing round-the-clock security duties around Darbar Hazrat Baba Farid and 150 CCTV cameras on all the roads leading to Darbar Hazrat Baba Farid. Moreover, Live monitoring has also been established.A control room has been set up at Darbar Baba Farid to monitor the security arrangements, in which the assigned staff is monitoring the situation moment by moment. The spokesperson of Punjab Police added that women policemen have been deployed for the security of women pilgrims. While the Pakpattan police have also been deployed rooftop and snipers on the roofs have been deputed adjacent to Darbar Baba Farid. Walk-through gates have been installed at all the entrances of the Durbar, visitors are being admitted after a thorough search. Spokesperson Punjab Police further said that steps are being taken under community policing to help and facilitate pilgrims coming for Urs.
