According to the details, on June 10, 2022, Sheikh Shoaib submitted a written request that his driver Ghulam Shabir with his guards came to collect money from the Bank. The guards of the vehicle were engaged in cash handling when the driver of the vehicle Ghulam Shabir along with other accused fled with the intention of fraudulently taking the amount of 10 crore 35 lacs and 37 thousands rupees . The local police immediately registered a case and started searching for the accused. CPO Rai Ijaz Ahmed formed various police teams under the leadership of SP City Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb. Police teams, expanding the scope of investigation in CCTV footage, professionalism and scientific style, arrested the main accused Ghulam Shabbir and mastermind Arshad from Multan. 07 crore 87 lacs and 82 thousand of rupees in cash were recovered from the accused. The accused kept changing their locations in different cities of Punjab and Sindh in Abbottabad, Mianwali, Mahmoodabad and Multan to avoid arrest. Police teams ensured the arrest of the accused due to their professionalism and modern technology. Movements are underway to arrest the fugitives. Socio-political personalities and citizens paid homage to the police on the arrest of the accused. On this occasion, City Police Officer Rai Ijaz Ahmed said that the accused, no matter how clever they may be, cannot escape the clutches of the law. He commended CIA incharge Javed Mohal and SHO PS Kotwali Sub-Inspector Sikandar Virk and their police teams for rounding up the accused.
