NAROWAL: The police claim to have seized over seven kilo hashish and 220 bottles of local and foreign liquor during a crackdown across the district. Police say seven suspects allegedly involved in drug paddling and bootlegging have been arrested during the crackdown and cases were registered against them.
District police spokesperson Aitzaz Bashir said the crackdown was launched on the instructions of Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rao Sardar Ali Khan.
The police claimed to have recovered a total 7kg and 310 grams of hashish from alleged drug dealers Adeel alias Soni, Saleem, Shahbaz Ali, Tanveer Ahmed and Imran alias Mani. The spokesman said similarly, the police also recovered 220 bottles of local and foreign liquor from the suspects Maqbool Masih and Amanat.
