Cops stressed to protect public life

LAHORE–DIG Operations Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has stressed upon the personnel of Mujahid Squad to ensure the safety of lives and property of the general masses.
While addressing the officers of Maujahid Squad and Elite Force at Qurban Lines here on Friday, the DIG said those who would be found guilty in performing their official duties or involved in any kind of corruption then a strict departmental action would be initiated against them.
He further said dozens of proclaimed offenders and court absconders have been arrested during police raids in connection with Emergency Police 15.
“Each intelligent, honest and dutiful officer will be awarded cash prizes and commendatory certificates while the lethargic and dishonest would be punished accordingly,” he added.
SP Mujahid Squad Athar Waheed sain on this occasion that police officer should perform in such a way, which may minimise differences between the department and the public.
He, however, directed them to focus on main arteries and especially on 15 calls, which are received in Control Room.
