5 persons gang-raped a woman in Jhelum / All accused arrested
The Punjab Chief Minister and IG Punjab took notice of the incident and directed immediate arrest of the accused.
Jhelum police arrested 5 accused including main accused rickshaw driver Ali Raza in 12 hours.

Punjab Police Jhelum has arrested all the accused in the incident of gang rape a woman by five persons in the area of Saddar Jhelum police station. According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan had taken notice of the incident and directed immediate arrest of the accused on which DPO Jhelum Kamran Mumtaz formed a special team to arrest the accused. DPO Jhelum said that Jhelum police arrested 5 accused including main accused rickshaw driver Ali Raza in 12 hours. He said that as per direction of IG Punjab , Jhelum police is committed to implement zero tolerance policy against women and children abuse. Moreover, all accused will be sentenced with submission of challan and solid evidence in court.
