Instructions issued to all RPOs, CPOs and DPOs to adopt zero tolerance policy for prevention of one wheeling and aerial firing.
Lahore Police has been directed to take special task and major cities Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala have been directed to take special measures.

Lahore, May 1.  Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has directed to take steps under a comprehensive strategy to prevent aerial firing and one wheeling during Chand Rat and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.  Instructing strict crackdown against law breakers, IG Punjab said that all RPOs, CPOs and DPOs should adopt zero tolerance policy  and bind the violators  involved in dangerous activities.  Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed the Lahore police to take special task while the major cities Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala police to take special measures.  IG Punjab also issued orders for 24/7 monitoring from the control room set up in Safe City Authority and Central Police Office.
A spokesman for the Punjab Police said that announcements would also be made in the mosques to spread awareness among the citizens and persons accused of  aerial firing and one wheeling will spend their Eid behind the bars. Similarly, notorious elements  displaying weapons on social media will be brought to book, while traffic police teams will adopt a comprehensive plan to prevent one-wheeling.  Spokesperson Punjab Police said that aerial firing and one wheeling are deadly games  which could cause loss of precious human lives and all possible steps would be taken to prevent it.  Spokesman  Punjab Police said that citizens should report 15 about  cases of aerial firing and one-wheeling.  He further said that kite-flyers during the Eid holidays would not be able to escape the clutches of the law and strict action would be taken against those involved in making and selling metallic strings and kites.
