On the occasion of Hazrat Ali R.A Day , more than 33000 officers and personnel performed security duties of 868 Majalis and 234 processions across the province.

Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has appreciated police force for ensuring foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Hazrat Ali (R.A) Day across the province. IG Punjab said that the police teams had ensured the best security arrangements for mourning processions and Majalis in all districts. All supervisory officers as well as the personnel, traffic wardens and lady personnel also performed their duties in the spirit of public service and deserve appreciation. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that Punjab Police has proved once again that it is fully capable of facing any challenge. He said that he is also grateful to all the religious scholars, peace committees and citizens for their support to the Punjab Police and due to the hard work and dedication of the police teams, national volunteers , no untoward incident took place anywhere in the province. He further said that on the occasion of Hazrat Ali (R.A) Day, more than 33000 personnel have performed security duties of 868 Majalis and 234 processions across the province. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that all the RPOs, DPOs, Traffic Police, Safe City Authority, Special Branch and CTD including CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations Lahore and his team were present on this very important religious event. The performance of the field formations is commendable. IG Punjab said that he hoped that his officers and personnel would continue to perform their duties in the future with the same spirit and sense of duty and would spare no effort in serving and protecting the people. IG Punjab said that police teams across the province, including Lahore, performed their duties in the state of Roza and ensured foolproof security of mourning processions and Majalis. He said that the morale of the police officers and personnel remained high and their role is commendable. All the district traffic teams including CTO Lahore deserve commendation on the excellent traffic arrangements.
