Arms recovered from house near PAF Mianwali base
MIANWALI: Saddar police, on a tip-off, raided a house in Ali Town, adjacent to the PAF Base Mianwali, and seized a large quantity of sophisticated arms and ammunition SHO Saddar Inspector Makhdoom Aftaf Hussain told this scribe he had got information that some arms smugglers had brought a fresh consignment of arms and ammunition.
After obtaining warrants from the civil judge, he raided the house and seized six Kalashnikovs of different bore, 30 pistols, two repeaters, two short-guns along with 1,560 bullets.
The police arrested all three arms-smugglers from the house including Muhammad Imran, son of Asif, Muhammad Imran, Son of Yaqub and Hafeezullah, son of Hafiz Muhammad Khan.
The police also recovered a steel stamp, used to mark numbers, and spare magazines of the Kalashnikovs. DPO Waqas Nazir said a search operation was in progress around the PAF Base Mianwali.
