NAROWAL: Sialkot police rescued a four-year-old boy around 24 hours after he was kidnapped on Tuesday. Hashim Ali Hinjra, a resident of Hinjra village near Pasrur tehsil in Sialkot district, had gone to a nearby shop to get ice cream. The family became concerned when he did not return home. During a search, a local said he had seen the child being taken on a motorcycle. Boy’s father Ali Raza Hinjra informed the police.
Qila Kalarwala police registered a first information report against unidentified kidnappers on the complaint of child’s grandfather Muhammad Abbas. The captors contacted Ali Raza for ransom and police traced the call and rescued the boy from Patiala village in Muridke tehsil of Sheikhupura district within 24 hours.
During the police raid, the kidnappers managed their escape. Sialkot police handed over the boy to the family. DPO Muhammad Hassan Iqbal said police teams were conducting raids to nab the kidnappers. The DPO has announced a cash prize and a certificate of appreciation for the raiding team.
