Inspector General of Punjab Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice of the incident of alleged burning of a 14-year-old foster girl in Sahiwal and sought a report from RPO Sahiwal. IG Punjab said that the accused of women and children violence do not deserve any sympathy. He reiterated that legal action will be taken against the arrested ruthless accused.
According to details, accused Dilbar Shah allegedly set a foster girl on fire who died last night after a life-and-death struggle in the hospital. DPO Sahiwal Sadiq Hussain Baloch said that an immediate case was registered at the request of the real father of the deceased girl and legal action was taken and Sahiwal police arrested the accused within an hour. DPO Sahiwal said that postmortem of the deceased girl has been done while forensic teams have also collected their evidence and investigation of the case will be completed at the earliest. IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed DPO Sahiwal to maintain close liaison with the affected family and and ensure provision of justice to the affected family on priority basis.
