Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that the purpose of Khuli Katcheries is to provide immediate relief to citizens while ensuring immediate solution of their problems. IG Punjab strictly directed RPOs, DPOs to utilize each and every means to resolve problems faced by poor, elderly and women citizens on priority basis. Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed supervisory officers to take steps under personal supervision for the service and protection of citizens under the open door policy and take immediate action on every request of citizens and also send their follow up reports to Central Police Office regularly. IG Punjab said that Pakistanis living abroad are our valuable assets, therefore, RPOs & DPOs should extend every assistance for their properties. He issued these directions while giving instructions to the officers on the occasion of his visit to Khuli Katchehry at the Central Police Office today.
IG Punjab listened to the problems of applicants coming from other cities including Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Gujarat and Lahore and issued orders for redressal. IG Punjab directed the concerned RPOs and DPOs to immediately resolve the petitions of the citizens and send a report. The complete record of the complaints of all the citizens should be archived regularly and the details of the resolved complaints should also be sent to the Central Police Office on monthly basis. He stressed that the citizens coming to the open courts should be treated with good manners and positive attitude and wherever irresponsible behavior was shown towards the citizens, departmental and legal action shall not be delayed against the culprits. He reiterated that doors of my office are open to all citizens and I will continue to hold Khuli Katchehry in future to address the grievances of citizens.
