Punjab Inspector General of Police Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken notice on tl tragic incident of killing of three children including a woman over a property dispute in Shampur village on the outskirts of Gujarat and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala. IG Punjab directed DPO Gujarat to conduct an investigation into the incident under his supervision and directed to complete investigation at the earliest. IGP emphasised upon provision of justice to the bereaved families on priority basis.
Giving details of the incident, DPO Gujrat Omar Salamat said that the accused named Safdar Hussain killed his real brother's wife and children by beating them with sticks over a property dispute. Accused Safdar Hussain was arrested on the spot. DPO Gujarat said that police and forensic teams have gathered evidence from the spot and strict legal action will be taken against the arrested accused.
