IG Punjab orders secret inspection of police stations, police lines, other offices , officers and officials.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that training and promotional short courses based on modern skills should be conducted for all officers and personnel to enhance capacity of police force. Instructing to increase capacity to conduct courses in all training colleges of the province, IG Punjab said that more facilities and resources would be provided to the police training institutes in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Multan, Sargodha, Sihala and Rawat. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that only by improving the quality of training, police can improve their performance in field duty. IGP added that a refresher course for investigating officers based on modern requirements would lead to improve quality of investigation. IG Punjab also ordered secret inspection of police stations, police lines and other offices and officers and personnel. He emphasized upon proper monitoring of offices working and provision of public service delivery. He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting on Training and Internal Accountability Branch at Central Police Office here today.
During the meeting, Additional IG Training presented the training plan for the year 2022 to IG Punjab, according to which approximately 38000 personnel and officers of Punjab Police would be imparted training and promotional courses into phases this year. IG Punjab directed to conduct short term training and promotional courses for personnel in all training colleges and schools on priority basis and said that special attention should be given to promotional courses for sub-inspectors, ASIs, head constables and constables. IG Punjab said that in order to increase efficiency of force, short courses of modern professional skills should be conducted in phases for all the personnel so that they can perform their duties efficiently while tackling the requirements and challenges of modern policing. Additional IG Training completed the visit of all training institutes of province and submitted the inspection report to IG Punjab. Other officers including Additional IG Training, DIG Training, AIG Training, AIG IAB were also present in the meeting.
