e-Gadget (Stolen Mobiles):
The e-Gadget Monitoring System is a mobile application developed by the Punjab Police in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). Launched in 2021, this application aims to prevent the theft and unauthorized sale of mobile phones by enabling users to verify the status of devices before transactions.

- IMEI Verification: Users can input a mobile phone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number into the app to check if the device has been reported stolen or lost. This verification helps buyers and sellers ensure the legitimacy of the mobile phones they are dealing with.
- Merchant Registration: Mobile phone retailers can register on the app, allowing them to verify devices before purchasing or selling. This feature helps prevent the circulation of stolen phones in the market.
- Impact: The e-Gadget app has proven effective in recovering stolen devices. For instance, in 2024, the Pakpattan Police used the app to recover 535 stolen or snatched mobile phones, valued at over Rs 13.5 million. This success underscores the app's role in enhancing public safety and streamlining police operations.
