Digital Warden: The Digital Warden App is an initiative by the Punjab Police, developed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), aimed at modernizing traffic management by transitioning to a paperless system. Launched in April 2022, the app enables traffic police officials to issue electronic challans (traffic violation tickets) directly via mobile devices, eliminating the need for traditional paper-based challan books and reducing the potential for fake or fraudulent challans. |
