In order to enhance the capacity building of the Punjab Police in various departments, specially Criminal Investigation, Training and to combat terrorism, under the guideline of Turkish Police Officers, the first ever session of working groups constituted in this regard by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Khan Baig, was held at Central Police Office, Lahore, today.

In the Session, the projects leaders of these working groups including Criminal Investigation, Basic Police Behavior and Police Station, Witness Protection, Citizen Centric Policing, Institutional Performance, Use of Technology, Human Resource Management, Crime Prevention, Patrol and Anti Riot Systems, Traffic Management, Counter terrorism, discussed with the Turkish Officers about their Projects.

Issues like changing in Police Laws as per requirement, use of latest technology, forensic science and Police Budget were also reviewed in the session.
Turkish Police Officers briefed the participants that to eliminate the terrorism from Turkey, their budget was raised equal to the Turkish Army. On this Occasion, Budget of the Punjab Police was also discussed.
In the session, it was also decided that IGP will hold a meeting in his office on weekly basis to review the progress of the Project Leaders and Turkish Officers in this regard.
