Under the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, the withdrawal of unauthorized attachment of police officials and vehicles with the serving and retired high officers / important persons is underway. The purpose of this withdrawal is to provide better environment and facilities to the force at all police lines of the province besides, to meet the shortage of officials and vehicles being faced by the department.
As many as 1600 unauthorized attached grade 1 to 4 police officials including Driver, Gardener, Cook, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Security Guards, Sweepers along with 40 vehicles and about 2500 motorcycles have been withdrawn so far.
