RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police (CTP) have intensified campaign against one-wheelers in Rawalpindi city. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Shah said that orders have been issued to all traffic wardens, inspectors, deputy superintendents of police that strict action should be taken against one-wheelers and no one should be spared. The motorcycles, which are especially modified for one-wheeling should also be impounded.
The CTO said that the department had launched special drive against one-wheeling and made several arrangements to curb such an activity. Shah said though traffic officials deputed on city roads are already checking the activity, special arrangements have also been made to control rash and dangerous driving.
He said traffic police officers were directed to keep a vigilant eye on one-wheelers so that action in accordance with the law could be taken against them. Under special arrangements, traffic officials have been deployed at various points. APP
