Patrol recovers car, reunites children with families

LAHORE – The Punjab Highway Patrol on Tuesday claimed to have recovered a snatched car and arrested a driver who had hit and injured a child a few days ago. The PHP also reunited few children with their families.
Its Fazil post in Bhakkar recovered the car (LRG-1905), which was snatched from Layyab, while it was headed for Mianwali. The driver and his companion, however, left the car on the road upon seeing the chase party and managed to flee.
Similarly, the PHP’s Sakaisar (Sargodha) team, caught the car (STL-9316) which had hit a child, namely Waleed Khan, to death near Sher Muhammad Wala in Sargodha. The team spotted the car near 18-Pull and arrested the driver, namely Arshad.
Meanwhile, the PHP’s Anwar Chowk (Mianwali) team found a nine-year-old lost child, namely Muhammad Irshad, and handed him over to his uncle Muhammad Amir of Mianwali. Another PHP team (Raman, Bahawalpur) found an abnormal lost child near Raman Phattak. He was handed over to Nigheban Center Bahawalpur.
