Timely justice and to redress the grievances of the people

In order to ensure the provision of timely justice and to redress the grievances of the people, in case of occurrence of any sensational / heinous incident the concerned DPOs / District Heads across Punjab should visit the crime scene and meet the victims personally.

 

This was directed by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera to all field police officers in his orders issued here today.

 

According to these instructions, all DPOs / District Heads of police will visit the scene of sensational crime, meet the victim personally and issue necessary instructions to concerned SDPOs / SHOs in this regard. They were further directed that in case of occurrence of any heinous crime, SDPO shall also personally visit the scene of incident and guide / supervise the concerned I.O. Field Officers will also contact the victim / complainant personally as well as telephonically at least for 2/3 times to know the pace of investigation.

 

Under these instructions, all field officers have been further advised to attend the telephone calls of any person / citizen and immediate measures must be adopted accordingly.
