Punjab Police run short of stationery
LAHORE: Police of the terrorism-hit Punjab province are facing dire shortage of stationery.
The staff, working in CPO office, has been directed to use minimum papers and toners due to this unusual circumstances and before getting final print mistakes in the draft should be removed on the computer.
According to the police sources, the IG Logistic wrote a letter to the all staff officers and in-charge branches of the Central Police Offices on March 9 that fund allocated for stationery was much short of the requirement, and stationery items specially paper, cartridges of laser printers, fax machines and tools of photo copiers, purchased through available sources are out of stock.
The police sources said efforts were being made to get more funds to buy these items.
Another letter was issued on March 19, which stated that the stock of paper has finished and therefore new papers should be used only for important work. It was further directed that both sides of the paper be used.
