Effective measures to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in Lahore

While taking notice of permanent traffic jam at the bridge of river Ravi and acknowledging the problems being faced by the people during the timings to enter and exit Lahore, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera directed the CCPO Lahore, Muhammad Amin Wains to adopt effective measures to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.

 

He also directed Amin Wains to divide the road into various lanes which should be specified for Trucks, Trollies, Buses, Cars and Motorcycles. He further directed the CCPO to set a separate independent lane only for the search purposes.

 

Mushtaq Sukhera further said that removal of the permanent traffic jam is important as it could be a security risk for the city.
