A committee has been constituted for keeping the consecutive coordination and better relationship between the Police and Bar so that free, fair and timely justice for the people could be ensured.
It was decided by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman while presiding over a high level meeting held at PHQ here today. The meeting was attended by CCPO Lahore, Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG Investigation Ali Amir Malik, SSP Operations Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj, SSP Investigation Abdul Razzaq Cheema and SP City Anwer Khaitran. President Lahore Bar Association Zulfiqar Chaudhary, Vice President Rana Pervaiz Basheer, General Secretary Jawad Gill and Secretary Lahore Bar Asad Abbas Zaidi also attended the meeting.
Committee will be comprising of Zulfiqar Chaudhary, Jawad Gill and Asad Abbas from Bar side whereas SSP Operation, SP Civil Line and SP City will represent Police Department.
Provincial Police Chief also nominated SSP Operation Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj as a focal person for this purpose. He will be responsible for coordination between the Police and Bar and will play his role in resolving all the issues relating to the courts and Police matters.
Mr. Manj will hold and important meeting tomorrow with all SPs of Lahore Division to finalize the strategy for the said purpose and furnish the report before the IGP within next week.
