He expressed these views while addressing the Police Darbar during his one day visit of Sargodha. IG Police said that he constituted conciliatory and peace committees at Mohalla level for providing justice to the people and elimination of thana culture as a result of which the confidence of people in police was restored and their problems were resolved. He stressed upon police officers to consider themselves as a servant of the people and resolve their problems for earning the blessings of Almighty Allah.
IG Punjab Tariq Salim Dogar laid floral wreath on the monuments of martyrs and also inaugurated three barracks in police lines constructed for police officials. Police officials of the Division presented their problems to IG Punjab upon which he issued orders on the spot.
RPO Sargodha, Mian Javed Islam, in his welcome address, paid rich tributes to IG Punjab and termed him as a pride of Punjab Police. He said that during the tenure of IG Punjab, not only thana culture was changed but the performance of police was also improved. DPO Sargodha, B.A. Nasir, DPO Khushab Imran Mehmood, DPO Bhakkar Humayun Masood Sindhu, DPO Mianwalai Rana Abdul Jabbar, SSP Region Investigation Sargodha Muhammad Kashif Mushtaq Kanju also addressed on this occasion and lauded the services of IG Punjab.
