Modern and latest training is essential to make the police a real service oriented and public friendly force and for the purpose newest courses including additional combat courses for recruits have been started in all police training schools and colleges across Punjab. Subjects like Security, Intelligence Sharing, Crime Control and Investigation are included in all training courses, besides, hiring the services of legal experts, doctors and subject specialists in the visiting faculties of these colleges with the purpose to meet the international training standards.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, while addressing the Passing Out Parade of Probationer ASIs at Police Training College, Sihala. Among 477 passed out officers were included 8 women trainees belonging to Punjab, Balochistan and Kashmir. Commandant, Police College Sihala, Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, Deputy Commandant, Capt (R), Muhammad Shoaib and other senior officers were also present at passing out ceremony.
While addressing on the occasion, IGP further stated that the criminal and terrorist elements smashed up the properties and lives of the people but for the public security the officers and jawans of the force put all their efforts and made no stone unturned even if they had to lie down their lives.
The provincial police chief stressed upon the officers that the provision of the security to the public should be their top priority and always use their powers within the provided legal parameters. He further said that the misuse of powers always creates injustice in the society. They should prove themselves as a real public servant and guard by dint of their character, added the IGP.
Later, IGP visited the various sections of the training college.
