To minimize the property losses and to protect the human lives during any kind of untoward situation, the policy of reorganization / training of Anti-Riot Force (within the existing force) will be continued and the officials who got such training could not be transferred within the period of one year.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, while addressing the passing out parade of the first passed out batch of Anti-Riot Falcon Course comprised 210 officials at Police Lines, Qila Gujjar Singh Lahore, today. On this occasion; CCPO Lahore, Muhammad Amin Wains, DIG Operations, Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf, SSP Investigation, Lahore, Muhammad Shahzad Sultan, and all Divisional SPs were also present.
While addressing the passed out jawans; IGP expressed the hope that they will utilize all their capabilities and demonstrate the same discipline which they learnt during their training. He said that these jawans will not only protect the properties of the people but will also ensure the protection of each valuable life while discharging their duties during riots.
On this occasion, CCPO Lahore, Muhammad Amin Wains told the IGP that under his instructions these constables aging 25 to 35 were selected from all divisions of Lahore. During the training they were given lectures by Senior Lawyers, Doctors, Psychologist, Religious Scholars besides, training from the CTD and other operational police experts. The duration of this Falcon Course was comprising of 6 weeks.
Later, IG Punjab inaugurated the Constable’s common room and two Badminton courts constructed at police lines, Lahore. IGP said that provision of the healthy environment and activities is our basic responsibility. IGP also addressed the police darbar at Police Lines, Qila Gujjar Singh Lahore. Junior Officers / Officials directly apprised the IGP about their problems and reservations. Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera listen their complaints sympathetically and issued instructions on the spot for their redressal.
Provincial Police Chief also announced 05 leaves after every three months for the force including provision of one new uniform. He also told the force that a Complaint Cell will immediately start working through which the force can have direct access to the IGP, he concluded.
