National Police Foundation, Islamabad has sent the final list of 14 plots for the heirs of the Shuhada of Punjab Police for which the formal allotment letters will be distributed to the heirs of these shaheeds by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera in a ceremony.
This was told by DIG Welfare, Jan Muhammad in a meeting held at Central Police Office Lahore today, under the chairmanship of IGP. Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Khan, Addl: IGP Traffic, Rai Altaf Hussain, DIG Headquarters, Farooq Mazhar, DIG Investigation Punjab, Shafique Gujjar, CTO Lahore, Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, AIG Operations, Waqar Abbasi, AIG Logistics, Humayun Bashir Tarar and AIG Investigations, Waqas-ul-Hassan were also present in the meeting.
IGP Punjab stated in the meeting that first time all welfare funds have been diverted from officers to fighting force. He said that due to this decision not only the morale of the force will be boosted up but also these shuhada will become a role model for the rest of force.
According to details, these 14 plots included commercial / residential will be given to those police officials who embraced shahadat in terrorist activities (suicide attacks / bomb blasts). The nominated shauhadas are included SI Ghulam Jaffar Baloch, ASI Raftaj Ahmad, HC Riaz Ahmad, Constable Muhammad Saleem, Constable Muhammad Yaqoub, Constable Abid Hussain of Lahore, Constable Munir Ahmad of Multan, Constable Pervaiz Ahmad of M.B Din, Constable Haq Nawaz of T.T Singh, ASI Ehsan Ullah and Constable Amanat Ali of Okara, Constable Sabir Hussain of Gujranawala and ASI Taj Muhammad and Constable Iftikhar Ahmad of Sheikhupura.
