The Inspector General of Police Punjab, Javed Iqbal has asked all police officers to be on high alert during the coming month of Moharram ul Harram to ensure its peaceful passage.

Speaking to the field police officers during his visit to Sargodha and Rawalpindi regions alongwith the sub-committee constituted by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif today, police chief Javed Iqbal stressed upon RPOs, DPOs and senior police officers of both the regions to plan their strategy to ensure the month passed without any incident. They must also have plans in case any contingency.

The police chief also directed that the officers detailed for such sensitive duties should have modern and adequate equipments. He gave special instructions that Traffic Police officer of both the regions to ensure the implementation of special traffic plan during the activities of Moharram ul Harram.
