RPO Conference was held today at Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab

In the wake of the Attock incident, an important RPO Conference was held today at Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera in order to review the security strategy across Punjab.

IGP, Legal, Ali Zulnorain, DIG Headquarters, Farooq Mazhar, DIG I&V, Akhtar Umar Hayat Lalayka, DIG SPU, Tariq Nawaz Malik, DIG Establishment-I, Azhar Hameed Khokhar, DIG Establishment-II, Nawaz Warraich, DIG IT, Shahid Hanif, DIG Investigation, Chaudhary Shafiq Gujjar, DIG PHP, Salman Chaudhary, RPO Sheikhupura, Sahebzada Shahzad Sultan, in CPO, whereas, all RPOs and DPOs attended the conference through video link.
 
The conference decided to implement the National Action Plan (NAP) in its true letter and spirit besides the decision to beef up the security of important personalities, government and semi-government offices, public places, business centers and religious sites and important formations.
It was also decided in the conference that all field officers will take action against the threat alerts they receive according to the SOPs given to them and no negligence will be accepted in this regard. Alongside this, information sharing with intelligence agencies will be enhanced.
The conference also decided that the foreign experts, particularly Chinese working on development projects will remain in touch with the police especially regarding their movements.
It was also decided in the conference that the process of arresting hardened POs and criminals will speed up. The PPO stressed upon the officers to remain in touch with their designated police stations to closely monitor criminal activities directly.
 
The conference also decided that all field officers will start working for the security arrangements immediately for the forthcoming Moharram-ul-Haram.
