16 nabbed for one-wheeling: CTO

Rawalpindi - The city traffic police have arrested 16 persons for their involvement in one-wheeling. The cases have been registered against the accused in different police stations, said Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz on Sunday. He said that one wheeling would not be allowed in the city. 
 
He warned one-wheelers, saying they would be dealt in accordance with the law and wardens have been directed to impound motorcycles of one-wheelers in their respective areas. He urged parents to keep vigilant eye on their children and play their due role to stop this dangerous activity. 
 
Meanwhile, city police arrested 13 outlaws on Sunday and recovered liquor, narcotics and weapons from their possession, said police spokesman. RA Bazaar police arrested Jabbar and recovered 250 grams hashish from his possession. Saddar Barooni police held Shahzad and recovered 525 grams hashish from his custody. Rata Amral police nabbed Sabir and recovered 10 litres liquor from his possession. 
 
In another case, Pirwadhi police arrested one Javed and recovered 10 litres liquor from his possession. Waris Khan police arrested Ibrahim and recovered the same quantity from his possession. The police also arrested Abdul Basit who was carrying a 30-bore pistol along 3 rounds. Cantt police arrested two namely Mumtaz and Abdul Rehman for holding firecrackers. 
 
Pirwadhi police conducted a raid and arrested a man namely Altaf, besides recovering bet money from his possession. Police have registered separate cases against the accused.
