As part of this campaign, the district police Sialkot smashed three gangs of criminals by arresting 21 members involved in auto-lifting, electricity theft during the last one week. The police also recovered illegal weapons and looted money from their possession.
According to details, the police arrested 9 members of Awais gang who were wanted to the police in 47 cases of crimes. The police also recovered gadgets and tools worth Rs15 millions from their possession including 130 remote-control, 150 chip devices, 44 single-phase meter bodies, one transformer, scrap and other equipment from their possession.
Similarly, the police arrested four members of Ijaz dacoits’ gang and recovered 21 stolen motorcycles and one car from their possession. The police also arrested 8 members of Don gang, who were wanted to the police in 14 cases of auto-lifting. The police recovered six motorcycles and illegal weapon including one pump-action and five pistols from their possession.
DPO Sialkot Gohar Nafees personally handed over the recovered vehicles and other valuables to the complainants.
