Police Officers should become a symbol of terror for criminals and symbol of security for innocent citizens because every DPO has the powers of IGP in their respective areas and they should not hesitate to fight against criminals.
This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rehman while inaugurating two days DPO Training Course at Management and Professional, Development Department here today. Addl: IG, Punjab, Malik Khuda Bakhsh Awan was also present on this occasion.
IGP, Punjab further said that DPOs should established proper coordination between three important pillars, Administration, Judiciary and Police in their districts for eradication of crime. Provincial Police Chief further said that honest and dedicated police officers would be protected whereas the corrupt police officers/officials will be terminated from their services on proving of corruption charges. Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman further stressed upon the DPOs to maintain constant liaison between the public, media and local leadership for provision of relief to the citizens.
Two days course has three phases in which ten DPOs, SPs and Addl: SPs will attend this course. In the first phase today, DPO, Muzaffargarh, Munir Ahmed Zia Rao, DPO R.Y. Khan, Sohail Zafar Chatha, DPO Kasur, Syed Khurram Ali, DPO Sargodha, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, DPO Mianwali, Muhammad Zubair Dreshak, DPO Gujrat, Rana Shahid Pervaiz, DPO Okara, Muhammad Abid Khan, DPO Jhang, Abdul Karim, DPO Chakwal, Kashif Mushtaq Kanjoo, DPO M.B. Din, Amir Tamoor, SP/Sadar Division, Rawalpindi, Israr Ahmad Khan, SP/Sadar Division, Gujranwala, Athar Ismail Amjad, SP/City Division, Multan, Muhammad Javaid, SP/Laylpur Town, Faisalabad, Zahid Mehmood, SP/Sadar Division, Lahore, Muhammad Ather Waheed, SP/Iqbal Town, Lahore, Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi, SP/Operation, Model Town, Lahore Muhammad Maroof Safdar, Addl: SP, Sargodha, Pervaiz Iqbal, Addl: SP Sheikhupura, Awais Ahmad, Addl: SP Operation Cantt:, Lahore Imtiaz Sarwar, SP CTD, Punjab, Muhammad Idrees Ahmad, Addl: SP Security Rawalpindi, Waheed-ur-Rehman Khattak, SP Investigation, D.G. Various experts will deliver lectures on the subjects of Police Financial Management, Community Policing and Relations with Media, Judiciary and Public. The participants of the course will also visit Forensic Lab.
