To finalize the security strategy and planning on the forthcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi S.A.W and Christmas besides, the security arrangements of Educational Institutions, Media Houses and the security of the bridges, riverine and border posts and to start a serious crack down against those who involved in repulsive business of spurious drugs were the main agenda of today’s video linked RPO Conference held at Central Police Office, Lahore.  
                                    
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera chaired the RPO conference whereas, all RPOs and DPOs through video link and Chairman Task Force to CM, MPA Khwaja Imran Nazir, Addl: IGP Welfare and Finance, Sohail Khan, Addl: IGP Operations / Investigation, Capt. (R) Arif Nawaz, Addl: IGP PHP, Dr. Arif Mushtaq, CCPO Lahore, Capt. (R) Amin Wainse, DIG Headquarters, Farooq Mazhar, DIG Investigation Branch, Shafique Ahmad Gujjar, DIG PHP Salman Chaudhry, DIG IT, Shahid Hanif, DIG Investigation Lahore, Sultan Ahmad Chaudhary, DIG Operations, Lahore, Dr. Haider Ashraf and other senior officers were also attended the conference.
                                    
All field officers were directed to send their requirements of force to CPO so that the security deployment could be finalized. Similarly, it was decided that on the occasion of Christmas the Christian community and all churches will be provided fool proof security so that they can celebrate their religious festival without any fear.
                                    
The security of the educational institutions was also reviewed in detail and it was decided that Quick Response Force (QRF) deployed around the schools will remain there till off timings and their operational exercises will be arranged on daily basis. The conference decided that all schools who falls in A+ and A categories will also be checked on daily basis under the supervision of SPs, SDPOs and SHO rank officers.
                                    
Keeping in view the security concerns faced by the media houses, it was decided that the installment of Emergency Alarm System just like school pattern must be ensured. All field officers were directed to start search and sweep operations in this regard so that the better results could be achieved.
                                    
While reviewing the security arrangements of the bridges over rivers and all important installations in Punjab, riverine posts and border posts, it was decided that no stone will be left unturned in securing these installations. On this occasion DIG PHP, Salman Chaudhry told the IGP that the 90% task of installation of security equipments at the check posts have been completed so far.
                                    
The conference also decided to start a serious crack down against those who involved in repulsive business of spurious drugs, immediately. In this regard all operational support will be provided to the Chairman of Chief Minister’s Task Force under Khwaja Imran Nazir MP, decided in the meeting.
                                    
The local body’s security SOP will be replicated in T.T Singh and Lodhran during Bye Elections, decided the conference.
                                    
IG Punjab directed the field officers to made 100% detection and recovery in cases of car and motorcycle thefts. It was also decided that all field officers will send the notified lists of well reputed and honest Inspectors to the CPO within a week and in future the SHOs would only be appointed within these list.
