BAHAWALPUR, Feb 14: The district police claim to have recovered a Christian girl who had allegedly staged a drama of her kidnap on Thursday.
According to district police officer, Maya (21) disappeared and left for Karachi to celebrate Valentine's Day with her friend. Her parents along with some people reached the Cantonment police station where they staged a demonstration to recover the girl.
The police on a tip-off that she had left for Karachi, besieged the general bus stand and Daewoo bus terminal here.
The police got information that Maya had boarded a Karachi-bound bus, which was intercepted at Bahadarpur near Rahim Yar Khan and the girl was taken into custody.
