Provincial Police Chief himself visited the main and all procession routes today and reviewed the security arrangements being adopted for devotees on 9th and 10th muharram-ul haram in Lahore.
Similarly, all RPOs and DPOs personally visited the procession routes in their respective regions and districts. They also reviewed the security arrangements finalized by the security officials for Majalis going to be held in their regions and districts.
All staff performed their duties in central control room which was established at Central Police Office, Lahore and constantly informed the Police Chief regarding the security situations across the Province. Addl: IGP, Punjab, Sarmad Saeed Khan, Addl: IGP, Investigation Punjab, Muhammad Amlish, Addl: IGP, Traffic Punjab, Kalb-e-Abbas, Addl: IGP Special Branch Punjab, Ahmed Raza Tahir, Addl: IGP CTD Punjab, Aftab Ahmed Cheema, DIG Operations, Punjab Farooq Mazhar, AIG Admin and Security, Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj, AIG Finance Habib Imtiaz, AIG Logistics, Shariq Kamal Siddiqui and Director Computer, Shaheen Khalid were also remained on duty in their offices along with their staff under the instructions of Khan Baig.
