Two gangs busted

LAHORE – Ghalib Market police claimed to have busted two gangs involved in more than 40 felony acts in the City on Sunday.
ASP Tariq Aziz said that four members of two dacoit gangs were nabbed whereas stolen motorbikes, gold ornaments, cash, cell phones and other valuables were recovered from their possession.
He said that the ringleader Mujahid Shaan and his accomplice Yasir were caught red handed whereas their three accomplices namely Awias alias Jena, Bilal alias Lakar and Sultan alias Hafiz managed to flee from the crime scene. Tariq Aziz said that the arrested men confessed to their crime in Ghalib Market, Gulberg, Model Town, Shadman, Liaqatabad, Naseerabad, Kahna, Kot Lakhpat, Faizal Town, Garden Town and other areas of the City.
Similarly, the ASP said that Ghalib Market Police also arrested two dacoits namely Waqas alias Pola and his accomplice Qasim. He said during preliminary interrogation, the culprits have confessed to committing more than 18 crimes in different police areas of the City. DIG Operations Rai Tahir has announced cash awards and commendatory certificates for the raiding police teams.
