Steps for smooth traffic
LAHORE: CITY Traffic Police have devised a comprehensive strategy to maintain smooth flow of traffic on roads during opening and closing times of the educational institutions in the provincial metropolis.
According to a press statement issued Friday, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Ahmad Mobeen has said that keeping smooth flow of traffic on roads was priority of the City Traffic Police.
On the occasion of the road safety and traffic training workshop, the CTO said that as a token of this step, 20 model roads and 45 schools and colleges had been selected where 198 traffic scouts would be deployed voluntarily to help traffic police in this regard.
The CTO was of the view that traffic police with the help of administration of the schools and colleges concerned and the participation of their students would improve the traffic situation.
