LAHORE, Feb 11: CCPO Amjad Javed Saleemi on Monday directed all DSPs to hold monthly meetings to curb crime.
He said one SHO from each of the six divisions would be rewarded for the best performance while six SHOs with the poorest performance would be punished.
Addressing a joint meeting of operations and investigation wings at Qilla Gujjar Singh Police Lines, the CCPO directed the SPs to ensure implementation in letter and spirit of the 18-point circular regarding security and cleanliness of police stations and timely maintenance of weaponry, record, registers and case files.
He said he would make surprise visits of police stations to check pace of the circular’s implementation.
