LAHORE: The Factory Area police sealed on Sunday a private hospital in Chungi Amar Sidhu and arrested five doctors, including a lady doctor, for their alleged involvement in illegal transplantation of kidneys.
The suspects were running Nazeera Al-Shifa Hospital where they were carrying out illegal transplantation of kidneys.
Dr Ramzan, Dr Amir, Dr Sheraz, Dr Sarfraz and Dr Mona were arrested from the hospital, said Factory Area SHO Hammad Akhter.
He said the kidney selling racket was headed by Dr Awais who managed to escape from the scene.
