PHP arrested two proclaimed offenders (POs) and 14 other persons besides recovering stolen cattle and wood worth Rs 3,40,000.
During routine patrolling, a PHP team signalled a car without number plat to stop but its driver speed it up. PHP started a chased and the car riders started firing on the PHP team. PHP also retaliated and arrested Mubashar Hayyat, Ghulam Abbas, Saif Ullah and Sarfraz of Jhang after a hard struggle.
Meanwhile, PHP arrested a proclaimed offender, Ashiq Hussain of Rajanpur, who was wanted by Kot Mithan police. It also arrested M Jameel of Gujrat who was wanted by Gujrat Sadar police.
In other incidents, a PHP team stopped a suspicious Vehicle (9223/DNA) and recovered two cattle worth Rs 1,80,000. The PHP team arrested the driver of vehicle. PHP recovered stolen wood worth Rs 1,60,000 from accused Ghulam Hussain of Liaquatpur. PHP seized four litres of liquor from Shabbir and Nazir of Narowal, one litre liquor from Moazam Shahzad of Gujrat and arrested drunken persons Adeel Ahmad, Irfan of Haroonabad, Ghulam Shabbir, Abdul Hameed, Arif, Bilal Ahmed of Liaquatpur and Waqar Ahmad of Gujrat.
PHP reunited lost child Ali Abbas with his uncle Farooq Ahmad in Faisalabad. It handed over an abnormal lost child, Jabbar, to Edhi Center in Bahawalpur.
