LAHORE: CAPITAL City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir has put the Lahore police on red alert in view of the information received from the secret agencies regarding a terrorism act.
The CCPO has also ordered the police to ensure security to Friday congregations.
The CCPO appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant in the current situation and whenever they observe suspicious elements or things around them, they should immediately inform Emergency 15, Qurban Control 99200269, Traffic Control 99201910 while their names would be kept secret.
Meanwhile, talking to a 10-member delegation of Ulema at his office, the CCPO said Ulema had a leading role in creating awareness against scourge of terrorism.
The Ulema assured the CCPO of their support in maintenance of law and order.
