11 held for abetting bombers
DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 6: Police have arrested 11 people for abetting the suicide bombers who killed 51 people outside the shrine of Sakhi Sarwar in Dera Ghazi Khan on April 3, Regional Police Officer Ahmad Mubarik Ahmad told Dawn on Wednesday.
Police gleaned information from a teenage bomber whose explosives could not explode and he was arrested with an injured arm.
Border Military Police Officer Ejaz Khan says he had intercepted the suicide bomber and shot him injured who was identified Umer, a resident of North Waziristan.
The RPO said the bombers had rented a room in a hotel in DG Khan through giving a CNIC of Zahra Ali, of Bajaur. He said the injured bomber was gradually improving.
